- COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL USE: MSA Ventilation Smoke Tubes are ideal for use in commercial buildings and industrial processing plants as well as shafts, mines, and tunnels. Flow patterns of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems can be determined with smoke tubes.
- SMOKE TUBE REPLACEMENT KIT: This Ventilation Smoke Tube Kit includes 12 plastic smoke tubes, great for resupply. The included smoke tubes are plastic and feature easy-to-use break-off tips.
- SMOKE TUBE INSTRUCTIONS: Measure or pace off a suitable distance in the air stream. Carefully break both tips off a smoke tube. Insert into the rubber tubing on the aspirator bulb. Hold assembly at inlet end of air stream and slowly squeeze bulb to produce smoke. For approximate velocity of air stream, note time for smoke to travel a measured distance.
- LONG-LASTING SMOKE: A tube will provide enough smoke for ordinary use during an eight hour shift. For intermittent use over a longer period, protect contents by closing open ends with tube caps. Glass ampoules in the smoke tubes contain ethylenediamine and acetic acid. For this reason, avoid breathing the smoke and avoid contact with eyes or skin.
