ChimneySaver Advanced Water Repellent utilizes a unique polysiloxane compound that showcases exceptional performance, rivalling that of a solvent-based product. This specially formulated compound enables the water repellent to effectively penetrate through existing penetrating water repellents (water or solvent based), setting it apart from the standard ChimneySaver Water-Base. ChimneySaver becomes water repellent after 4-6 hours of exposure to UV light and atmospheric moisture and increases in strength for several weeks after treatment. It is 100% vapor permeable and allows water vapor produced during the combustion process to escape from the chimney.
